13/3/09. ABC Australia. Life Matters: Getting Personal About Disability. Today we're zooming in on disability at a personal level. Is having a disability necessarily a barrier to living a full life? Or are the barriers actually caused by the society we live in? We hear from three prominent advocates: Professor Ron McCallum, Disability rapporteur to the United Nations; Liz Carr, actor, comedian, broadcaster and UK disability activist; Dr Tom Shakespeare, Sociologist, bioethicist and UK disability activist.
