Here's hoping it's going to be the funniest year yet!
2006 ended on a career high - I won the DADAfest award so if you voted for me, thanks! Unfortunately I couldn't attend the awards because typically everything happens at once. Instead, I took part in the Graeae / Paines Plough series of rehearsed readings at the Young Vic, called Wild Lunch.
2006 also ended on a comedy high. In terms of stand up, I was trying out lots of new material and coming up with things each night so a scary but exciting time. I had a wonderful gig at the Manchester Comedy Store as part of DADAfest. The best thing about the night, however, was a review which said, "Liz's act did start out well but again deteriorated into foul mouthed nonsense and one or two really sick comments. I really can't believe she left the excellent Nasty Girls to perform this drivel." If you've never been to see me, surely that's all the recommendation you need?
